SLATS data

SLATS data are available on the Open Data portal and the QSpatial data portal.

Data for Sentinel-2 series

Spatial data products

Spatial data products for the Sentinel-2 series of SLATS reporting are available from the QSpatial data portal.

Data summaries

In addition to the SLATS reports and spatial data products, regional breakdowns are available in the Queensland Government Open Data portal for:

  • Baseline woody vegetation extent for 2018
Includes breakdowns for remnant and non-remnant areas, regulated vegetation management map categories and vegetation management classes, subregions, drainage divisions, catchments, Great Barrier Reef (GBR) and non-GBR areas, Natural Resource Management regions, and Local Government Areas.
  • Woody vegetation change for 2018–19 (clearing only), 2019–20, 2020–21 and 2021–22 (clearing and regrowth)
Includes summaries for ‘age since disturbance’ and density estimates, and breakdowns for remnant and non-remnant areas, regulated vegetation management map categories and vegetation management classes, bioregions and subregions, drainage divisions, catchments, Great Barrier Reef (GBR) and non-GBR areas, Natural Resource Management regions, and Local Government Areas.

Data for previous Landsat series

Find information about Previous SLATS data, reports and publications.

Due to recent changes to the SLATS methodology, SLATS reporting—up to and including the 2017–18 SLATS report—is not comparable with any reporting or data after that date.

Explore SLATS data on the Queensland Globe

The Sentinel-2 series woody extent and change mapping, and the previous Landsat series woody vegetation clearing mapping can be viewed on the Queensland Globe in the Environment theme.

Note: aerial and satellite imagery and associated image dates used as background imagery in the Queensland Globe may not be the same as the satellite imagery and image dates used for SLATS. Therefore, some woody vegetation extent areas and changes mapped by SLATS may not be readily identifiable in the background imagery in the Queensland Globe.
